'Going Bananas With...The Groove Farm' was released in 1987 as a 12" EP. (Subway Organization Records).

The band were told to record in a bigger studio rather than the smaller 8 Track studio they had been used to.

Lack of recording studio experience and poor in house engineers resulted in a rather 'safe' production.

Some good songs still shone through, but the group felt slightly unhappy with the overall sound.

To add insult to injury, the records (both the 12" and the 'Surfin' into Your Heart' 7") seemed to be either mastered or cut at the wrong speed!

The records sounded slightly speeded up!?! - How this happened, no one knows...

Here is the EP at the correct speed!

The Groove Farm Bristol, UK

Formed in 1986, inspired by 60's garage bands Punk, and DIY guitar bands. Early days seen as 'twee' due to their uncomplicated pop songs, soon found themselves part of the thriving 'Indie-pop-C86' scene. The 'twee' tag didn't last for long, by late 87 the Lo-Fi- Garage Pop style emerged.
Released records for Subway Organization, and Raving Pop Blast!
Now back in 2017 with new songs on the way!

Track Name: Surfin' Into Your Heart
(Jarrett / Kent)

Well what can I do
I guess I'm so in love with you
But I just can't make you see
Now what more can I do

A hundred times I've tried
But the words just don't seem right
But now I think
I'm gonna get it right this time

And I'll be
Surfin' into your heart

That's what I should have done from the start.

Well, what can I say
All my words just slip away
Is there nothing I can do
To make you stay

A boy in this world
Needs a surfboard and a girl
So if you say you'll be mine
Everything will be just cool
